This time I tried to use 2 small pom poms to make a little bear look. What do you think? Look at my experiment with different sizes and types of poms.

After I finished this hat I was so excited and decided to match a knit hat with same pattern infinity scarf. Small pompom on the scarf was added as a matching decoration to the hat. I hope you enjoy knitting with me and make your kids ready for the chilling season.

Hi Michelle,
pattern says that this hat suits babies from 6 to 18 months (circumference 47-51 cm).
Also as you said I cast on 56 stitches and knit until row where I shape crown. It means I have always 56 stitches on my needles. If you still have any questions please ask me.
Ann.

I would like to know if the pom poms are fur or yarn.

Thank you,

Hi there. I notice that you use 3 strands of yarn together but I’m not familiar with this yarn or what weight it is. Could you suggest an alternative- eg. would 3 strands of (UK weight) 4 ply do instead ? Or a DK (8ply) with a strand of 4 ply worked together?
Thanks for the pattern ☺️

Hi Anne. It doesn’t matter how many ply or how many strands of yarn you take. The most important to find yarn ( 1, 2 or 3 strands) that will give you gauge that I mentioned in the pattern. In this case 20 stitches = 4 inches in stockinette stitch. Let me know if it is more clear now.

Hi. Yeah sure it can be done on straight needles, but unfortunately i dont have such pattern. You have to know how to knit garter stitch pattern back and forth. In this case after ribbing part you always knit all rows. Cast on desired number of stitches, add 2 more stitches as a selvage (later on use them to make a seam). Use my decreases and everywhere where you see p2tog, make k2tog. I hope it will help you to make a hat of your dream 🙂

Hello,

I would love to adapt this pattern for a teenage girl, any hints on how I might do that or do you have an adult version ? Thank you very much it’s adorable

Hi Tania. It depends on what yarn you are going to use. 92-100 sts could be enough for the teen size but still everything depends on your gauge and yarn weight

Hi, if I knit using magic loop method, I should purl all row after the ribbing, am I right? I notice you knitted in the round but why need to knit 1 row and purl 1 row unless you turn your work back and forth? Appreciate your comments, thanks.

Hi Stella. The hat is knitted in garter stitch. If you want to knit this hat back and forth, then you will knit all your rows. If you knit in round, you will need to alternate knit and purl rows. Hope it helps you!
