Knitting materials and knitting tools:
<> Circular or DPN knitting needles 4 mm (UK 8 or US 6);
<> Bamboo Ewe(4) – 55% viscose, 28% wool, 100 grams -162 m per skein;
<> Crochet hook or tapestry needle and 4 stitch markers
Knit 3×2 ribbed hat size:
Adult: 56-58 cm
Gauge: 15 sts – 4 inches (10 cm) – in ribbing 1×1
Common abbreviations of knitting stitches:
k – knit
p – purl
k2tog – knit two together
st(s) – stitch(es)
skpo – Slip, Knit, Pass Over: Slip one stitch to the right needle knitwise, knit in the next stitch and drop this stitch off the left needle, insert the left needle into the slipped stitch, pass it over the knit stitch and it’s done
ft – fishtail part: skip next stitch and count down 3 stitches starting from the stitch underneath the stitch on the needle. Insert the needle into the 3d st and pull the yarn (you are going to have a long loop), k3, count back 1 st (on the right hand needle), count down 4 sts ( it is the same stitch that we have been working before), insert the needle and pull the yarn (you are going to have the second long loop)
3×2 Ribbed Knit Hat Pattern
Body of the 3×2 ribbed hat:
Сast on 80 stitches or any other number that is divisible by 5. Join to knit in the round. Place marker. Rib k1, p1 until piece reaches 18 cm if you knit a hat with folded brim.
Rounds 1-4: *k3, p2 repeat from *.
Round 5: *ft, p2– repeat from *.
Round 6: *slip first loop holding working yarn in back, k3, slip next loop again, p2 – repeat from *.
Round 7: *skpo, k1, k2tog, p2 – repeat from *.
Round 8: *k3, p2 repeat from *.
Repeat Rounds 5-8 until hat measures 32 cm from the edge or 14 cm of the main pattern. When you reach desired length do not purl the last st in your last round. We are going to use this stitch to start decreases.
Shaping the crown 3×2 ribbed hat:
Round 1: *skpo, k1, k2tog – repeat from *.
Round 2: knit all sts around.
Round 3: *k2tog, k1- repeat from *.
Round 4: [k2tog] – all the way around.
Cut the yarn leaving 10 cm tail and pull through remaining stitches by using hook or tapestry needle. Weave in ends. If you want you can attach pom pom.

I just found this delightful pattern and have made a swatch to practice it! (From your post/video on how to do it.) As I was doing it I was wondering if it could be done in the round and the I found your hat pattern!! Perfect!! Can’t wait to make it!! It’s so pretty! I’d also like to do it as the bottom of a sweater. Have you done that? Thank you for sharing this with us! (I love your videos! I find your voice very soothing to listen to! ☺️)
