Flat knit slipper socks pattern:
MAKE TWO.
Using pink yarn color cast on 18 stitches.
Row 1: sel s, k16, sel s.
Row 2: sel s, k16, sel s.
Change yarn color from pink to white. DO NOT CUT THE YARN. In the next round after you change color, always knit the first stitch instead of slipping it. Like this you will not have jogs when you start seaming up socks.
Row 3: k13, bring the working yarn in front, slip the next stitch purlwise, turn, return the stitch back and bring the working yarn back, wrapping the slipped stitch.
Row 4: k12, sel s.
Change the yarn color from white to pink.
Row 5: k17, sel s.
Row 6: sel s, k16, sel s.
Change the yarn color.
Row 7: k13, bring the working yarn in front, slip the next stitch purlwise, turn, return the stitch back and bring the working yarn back, wrapping the slipped stitch.
Row 8: k12, sel s.
Change the yarn color.
Row 9: k17, sel s.
Row 10: sel s, k16, sel s.
Change the yarn color.
Repeat Rows 7-10 until slipper reaches 22 cm. I knitted in total 74 rows. If you knit size US 7 (23.5-24 cm), knit the slipper length 10% less from the real length. That is why 22 cm. Measure the slipper from corner to corner.
Change the yarn color from pink to white.
Row 75: k17, sel s.
Row 76: sel s, k16, sel s.
Change the yarn color from white to pink.
Row 77: k13, bring the working yarn in front, slip the next stitch purlwise, turn, return the stitch back and bring the working yarn back, wrapping the slipped stitch.
Row 78: k12, sel s.
Change the yarn color.
Row 79: k17, sel s.
Row 80: sel s, k16, sel s.
Change the yarn color.
Row 81: k13, bring the working yarn in front, slip the next stitch purlwise, turn, return the stitch back and bring the working yarn back, wrapping the slipped stitch.
Row 82: k12, sel s.
Repeat last four rows until you knit in total 148 rows.
Bind off all stitches. Cut the yarn leaving at least 1meter tail.
Fold the sock in half facing it right side out and start seaming cast on and cast off edges. *Insert the yarn needle under both legs of the first V stitch on one side and pull the yarn through. After that insert the needle under corresponding V stitch on the other side and pull the yarn through. Repeat from * until you reach the sole of the slipper. Check the video tutorial for more instructions of how to join the sole.
Weave in all ends.
Knit the second slipper. If you want to get a symmetrical pair, start casting on using white yarn.
You can also choose to decorate your slippers, consider crocheting a flower with laves, or leave them as is.
