Toddler Knit Mittens 2 -3 years old

Hello my dear friends, meet these cute warm and soft knit mittens made for a toddler. You know my toddler daughter never likes to listen what I’m saying to her, like “keep your hands in the pocket while you sit in the stroller”, but no, she has to keep them out and play with a toy until her palms and fingers get really really cold. On top of that, she rejects wearing finger gloves – too much trouble putting them on :D. For all toddlers out there who disguise finger gloves, this pattern is for you. Keep your hands warm and pockets-free 😉 Need a version for adults? I’ve got you covered too – check out my Christmas-style mittens made in garter stitch as well.

Knitting thumb of the toddler mittens:

Pick up 6 stitches from the scrap yarn. Take new yarn and start knitting. K6, pick up and knit 1 stitch from the left side, then pick up and knit 6 sts above and 1 more stitch from the right side. Now you have in total 14 stitches. Divide your sts evenly among 3 needles. Do not worry you might have some holes that we are going to sew later.
