Now you will need to take one more needle. Slip the first stitch to the 1st needle and the second stitch to the 2d. Hold 1st needle in the back and 2nd needle in the front. After that slip the third stitch to the first needle again and 4th stitch to the second. Repeat alternation until you have 10 stitches on the first needle and 9 stitches on the second.
Leave the second needle and work only with the first one. Knit 15 rows and do not forget about selvage stitches. At this point you can cut the yarn and knit the second part, or using a hook bring the working yarn down by making slip stitch 7 times along the border (Video 10:45). Place the last stitch from the hook on the second needle, to get in total 10 sts. Knit 14 rows. K2tog 1st stitch from the first and 1st stitch from the second needle. After that return the stitches to one needle again. Slip one stitch from the first needle, then one stitch from the second needle until you get 19 sts again. Using this technique, we will get a small pocket.
Next Row: sel s, knit all stitches, sel s.
Repeat the last row until the scarf reaches the desired length.
Now the length of my scarf measures 69 cm from the first Row.
