Knitting materials and tools:
<> Double-pointed knitting needles in size US 2.5/ UK 11 (3 mm)
<> Baby Show (Sport) – 60% rayon, 30% wool, 10% cashmere goat.
<> Weight Category – 2. Quantity – less than 1 ball. If you have difficulty to find aforementioned brand of yarn, use something else that will have about 145-160 m (160-175 yards) per 50 grams skein.
<> Stitch markers, Crochet hook 3 mm
Lace knit baby socks size:
Size: Newborn-3 months
Gauge: 22 stitches = 4 inches in stockinette
Common abbreviations of knitting stitches:
k – knit
pm – place marker
k2tog – knit two together
k3tog – knit three together: slip the first stitch knitwise, knit next two stitches together, and pass the slipped stitch over just the knitted one.
yo – yarn over
sel s – selvage stitch: always slip the first stitch knitwise, work to the last stitch, purl the last stitch
skpo – Slip, Knit, Pass Over: Slip one stitch to the right needle knitwise, knit in the next stitch and drop this stitch off the left needle, insert the left needle into the slipped stitch, pass it over the knit stitch and it’s done.
LHN – left-hand needle
RHN – right-hand needle
Newborn baby lace knit socks pattern:
Make two.
Knitting the cuff of baby socks:
Holding 2 DPN together cast on 30 stitches or any other number multiple of 5.
Round 1-4: [k1 p1] – around
Round 5-6: *p1, k3, p1 – repeat from * around.
Round 7: p1, yo, k3tog, yo, p1 – repeat from * around.
Round 8: *p1, k3, p1 – repeat from * around. Knit yo stitch through the front loop.
Repeat Rounds 5-8 three more times. At this point your sock will measure about 6.5 cm / 2.5 in.
Knitting heel flap of baby socks:
Divide all stitches in half.
Row 1: k15, turn.
Row 2: sel s, p13, sel s, turn.
Rows 3, 5, 7, 9, 11: sel s k13, turn.
Rows 4, 6, 8, 10, 12: sel s, p13, sel s, turn. The heel flat must measure about 3.5 cm.
Divide heel flap into three parts. PM if needed.
Row 1: sel s, k8, skpo turn.
Row 2: sel s, p3, p2tog, turn.
Row 3: sel s, k3, skpo, turn.
Row 4: sel s, p3, p2tog, turn.
Row 5: sel s, k3, skpo, turn.
Row 6: sel s, p3, p2tog, turn.
Row 7: sel s, k3, skpo, turn.
Row 8: sel s, p3, p2tog, turn.
Row 9: sel s, k3, skpo, turn.
Row 10: sel s, p3, p2tog, turn.
It is time to pick up stitches from the gusset and knit the sock in rounds again.
Round 1: sel s, k4, pick up 6 stitches (one stitch through every stitch of the edge), [p1, k3, p1] – repeat 3 times, pick up 6 stitches (32 sts)
Round 2: k11, [p1, k3, p1] – repeat 3 times.
Round 3: pm, skpo, k13, k2tog, [p1, yo, k3tog, yo, p1] – repeat 3 times. (30 sts)
Round 4: k15, [p1, k3, p1] – repeat 3 times.
Round 5-6: k15, [p1, k3, p1] – repeat 3 times.
Round 7: k15, [p1, yo, k3tog, yo, p1] – repeat 3 times.
Round 8: k15, [p1, k3, p1] – repeat 3 times.
Repeat Rounds 5-8 three more times. Or until sole reaches 9 cm / 3.5 in.
Shaping the toe of baby socks:
Round 1: [k1, skpo, k9, k2tog, k1] – twice.
Round 2: [k1, skpo, k7, k2tog, k1] – twice.
Round 3: [k1, skpo, k5, k2tog, k1] – twice.
Round 4: [k1, skpo, k3, k2tog, k1] – twice.
Round 5: [k1, skpo, k1, k2tog, k1] – twice.
Cut the yarn leaving 10-15 cm tail. Thread tail through the remaining 10 stitches of last row and pull to secure. Weave in all ends.

Hey, these are beautiful! Do you have any tips for sizing them up to fit a bigger child on an adult?
I did not knit bigger size. But if you know how to knit socks it will be easy to recalculate it
