Repeat Rounds 1-8 four more times to get in total 40 rows. The height of the turban (unstretched) has to be 2-3 cm less than the number mentioned above in the sizing table.
Divide all stitches in half. Fold the turban hat wrong side out and using three needles bind off method, join the crown.
-
-
- Align 2 parts, and pick up a third needle. Insert the third needle through the 1st stitch on the front needle and the 1st stitch on the back needle knitwise. Knit the stitch through both stitches.
- Repeat Step 1.
- Once you get 2 stitches on your RHN, bind off one stitch. With the help of LHN slip 1st stitch over the 2nd stitch on the RHN and drop it off the needle.
- Repeat Steps 2 and 3
-
Now it is time to use the tail we left at the beginning. Thread onto a blunt-ended tapestry needle and pick up the front loop of each selvage stitch along the edge. Pull tight to close the center. Weave in all ends.
Now it is time to decorate the turban hat.
Check the video or written instruction on how to knit a bow.
For the knot imitation. Cast on 22 sts. Join to knit in the round. Knit in stockinette stitch until the piece (cylinder measures 11 cm. Do not bind off. Cut the yarn leaving a 30-40 cm tail. Pull the tail through all 22 sts and pull it tight to close the center. Roll the cylinder from the other side and sew it on your turban.

Hi Anne ,
My name is Alice and I just finished knitting an adorable Baby Turban hat. My neighbor now wants me to knit one for her 4year old daughter.Would you be so kind as to tell me how many stitches I should use?I have 4 ply yarn.
Thank you,
Alice
Hi again, Anne
I would also Like to know the needle size you would recommend. Thanks again, Anne. Alice Ferguson
Hi Alice. With medium yarn i would cast on 75 sts or close to this number. I did not work with fingering yarn that you mentioned you will need to calculate the number of stitches according the calculation method shown in the pattern
