Bear’s ears knitting pattern:
Knitting bear’s ear:
Leave a tail at least 15 cm. Cast on 12 sts.
Row 1: knit all stitches. Knit the very first and the last stitch as well.
Row 2: repeat Row 1.
Repeat Row 1 until the length of the ear measures 10 cm, ensuring you knit an even number of rows. Bind off all stitches, leaving a 15 cm tail at the end.
Shaping and seaming bear’s ear:
-
- Fold the ear in half.
- Using the bumps created by the first stitch and the tail, seam the ear by pulling the yarn needle through the bumps on one side, then through the bumps on the opposite side, alternating one by one. At the end, pull the tail through to the wrong side.
- Repeat this process for the other side using the second tail.
- Fold the ear so that both seams touch each other in the middle of the ear (with the top corner folded inside the second top corner).
- Use the two tails now on the wrong side to tie a secure knot. This will prevent the ear from unfolding and help it maintain its shape.
