Knitting materials and tools:

Double pointed or circular (80 cm) needles 3.5 mm (US 4).

Knit caterpillar socks size:

Size: US 7- 7.5 (24 cm). These socks do not have a shaped heel, so the size is determined by how long you knit them. The sock I knitted is 40 cm (about 15.75 inches).

Gauge: 19-20 stitches = 4 inches in stockinette

Anna, Beautiful job as always. What about these socks for ‘wide feet’. How many stitches for cast on and would you suggest go up needle size. I already know not to decrease as many for toe area. And, I have plenty of ODD colors to use like you suggest.
Thank you .

Hey Wendy. Basically very easy. Add 4 or 8 sts. If you add 8, then you can follow the pattern and instead of k20 there will be k24 and the back part will be larger by one repetition. If you add only 4 stitches, the back part will be a bit different. Let me know if you need me to write the pattern for 44 sts in total
