Knit Z-Line Stitch Pattern

Knitting materials and tools:

<> DPN 3.5 mm (US 4)

<> Knit it, Super Soft Yarn –100% acrylic. 120 grams -324 m per skein.

Common abbreviations of knit stitches:

k – knit

p – purl

sel s – selvage stitch: always slip the first stitch knitwise, work to the last stitch, purl the last stitch

C2/1B – Slip the next stitch to an extra needle and hold it in the back. K2 from the left-hand needle, then p1 from the extra needle.

C1/2F – Slip the next 2 stitches to an extra needle and hold them in front. P1 from the left-hand needle, then k2 from the extra needle.

Z-line stitch knitting pattern:

Cast on any number that is multiple of 14, plus 2 selvage stitches.

Rows 1: sel s, [k7, p4, C2/1B] – repeat till the end, sel s.

Row 2: sel s, [k1, p2, k4, p7] – repeat till the end,  sel s.

Row 3: sel s, [k7, p3, C2/1B, p1] – repeat till the end,  sel s.

Row 4: sel s, [k2, p2, k3, p7] – repeat till the end,  sel s.

Row 5: sel s, [ p9, C2/1B, p2] – repeat till the end,  sel s.

Row 6: sel s, [k3, p2, k9] – repeat till the end,  sel s.

Row 7: sel s, [ k7, p1, C2/1B, p3] – repeat till the end,  sel s.

Row 8: sel s, [k4, p2, k1, p7] – repeat till the end,  sel s.

Row 9: sel s, [ k7, C2/1B, p4] – repeat till the end,  sel s.
