Knitting materials and tools:
<> Straight or circular knitting needles 4 mm (US 6/UK 8);
<> Red Heart, Super Saver – 100% acrylic yarn: 198 grams -333 m per skein.
<> Weight Category – 4 (medium).

Common abbreviations of knitting stitches:
k – knit
p – purl
sel s – selvage stitch: always slip the first stitch knitwise, work to the last stitch, purl the last stitch
PM – place marker
Inc – increase
P2tog – purl two together
K2tog – knit two together
RS – right side
WS – wrong side
Pc – popcorn stitch – insert the needle between the next two sts and draw up a loop, k1 (knit next stitch through the back loop).
skpo – Slip, Knit, Pass Over: Slip one stitch to the right needle knitwise, knit in the next stitch and drop this stitch off the left needle, insert the left needle into the slipped stitch, pass it over the knit stitch and it’s done.
Popcorn stitch knit ear warmer size:
Width: 14 cm (5.5”).
Head circumference: 53-58 cm (21-23”).
Gauge: 19-20 stitches = 4 inches
Wide popcorn stitch ear warmer knitting pattern:
Using the long tail cast-on method, cast on 9 stitches.
Row1-17: sel s, k7, sel s. (Or until the piece measures 5-6 cm)
Place one marker between the 4th and 5th stitch and the other one between the 5th and 6th stitch.

Knit the next 16 rows in garter stitch as at the beginning.
Bind off all stitches. Cut the yarn leaving 30-35 cm tail. Using yarn needle joint two ends of the headband.
