So cute. Made as written except a yarn substitute to LB Hometown USA in Sioux City Tweed and used a ready made Pom. That skein was 64 yards and I only had 6 inches of waste yarn…used the entire skein entirely. Beanies always seem to want to slip off my head but not this one. This would be perfect for little kids. Thank you for sharing.

Loved this pattern from first sight! Made one, turned out perfectly. I too suffer from beanies slipping off my head, but not the red riding hood hat. I used a bulky yarn from hobby lobby called Ultraluxe in charcoal. C.O. 40 & very happy w results! Thank you!

Love the pattern. I am looking for the mitten pattern pictured with the hat. I would like to make a set for my sister who lives where it is cold in the winter (I live in southern California).
Thanks

I cannot convey how much I adore this hat pattern! Finally, a pattern that doesn’t slip off the head or let winter breezes chill me to the bone. I’ve knit several for myself, my friends, and my family. Even my dad! *of course in a masculine colorway.
THANK YOU!!!

One year reducing and you say to repeat four times so you’re still supposed to knit together and then immediately do the second kind of decrease? I don’t have enough stitches to do that.

you need to repeat everything what is in brackets. Tell me where exactly you have stucked?
