This crochet ribbing resembles knit ribbing where you knit 1, purl 1.

Common abbreviations of crochet stitches:
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
st – stitch
yo sl st blo – yarn over slip stitch: yarn over, insert the hook into indicated stitch through the back loop, yarn over again and pull up a loop. Now you have three loops on your hook. Pull the last loop through the other two.

Crochet 1×1 yarn over stitch pattern:
