Knit baby socks size:
Baby: 6-12 months
Length: 20 cm (7.5 in)
Gauge: 18 sts –10 cm (4 in).
No-heel baby socks knitting pattern:
Using the long tail method, cast on 36 sts.
Row 1: sel s, knit all stitches, sel s. Turn.
Repeat Row 1 until the piece reaches 4 cm. In total, knit 15 rows to achieve this width, ensuring an odd number of rows.
Rows 16-30: sel s, p1, [k2, p2] – repeat across, k1, sel s. Turn.
Rows 31-45: sel s, knit all stitches, sel s. Turn.
Bind off all stitches.
Cut the yarn leaving a 40-50 cm long tail.
Using a yarn needle, thread the tail. *Insert the needle from front to back through the loop on the front side and from back to front through the back loop on the other side. Repeat from* along the whole side. When you reach the short side of the seam, go on seaming but already through the front loop on the front side and back loop on the other side. To get rid of the sticking angle, thread the tail through the last 8 stitches (4 sts on the right side, 4 sts on the left side), and pull tight to close the hole. This is the same as what you usually do to close the hat’s top.
Cut the yarn and weave in the ends.
