Cable slipper socks knitting pattern:
MAKE TWO.
Using long tail cast on methos, cast on 30 stitches. (Leave at least 15-20 cm tail, we are going to use it to sew the heel)
Row 1: sel s, p1, k26, p1, sel s.
Row 2: sel s, k1, p3, k20, p3, k1, sel s.
Row 3: sel s, p1, k26, p1, sel s.
Row 4: sel s, k1, p3, k20, p3, k1, sel s.
Row 5: sel s, p1, k26, p1, sel s.
Row 6: sel s, k1, p3, k20, p3, k1, sel s.
Row 7: sel s, p1, C3F, k14, C3B, p1, sel s.
Row 8: sel s, k1, p3, k20, p3, k1, sel s.
Repeat rows 1-8 until you reach desired slipper length. For the size 8 I knitted from the beginning 56 rows.
Decreases:
Row 1: sel s, k1, [k2tog, k1] – repeat till the end, p1, sel s.
Row 2: sel s, k1, [k2tog] – repeat till the end, k2, sel s.
Cut the yarn leaving at least 25 cm tail.
Using yarn needle, thread the tail through remaining stitches, fold slipper right side out and sew the top as shown in the video.
After that start seaming the heel using the tail we left at the beginning. If you want to make the slipper to fit even better, thread the tail trough last 8 stitches (4 sts on the right side, 4 sts on the left side), and pull tight close the hole. The same what you usually do to close the hat’s top. Weave in ends.
