Knitting materials and tools:
Double-pointed knitting needles 4.5 mm (US 7/UK 7) – for the main part 4 mm (US 6 / UK 8) for the first 5 rounds. You can use circular needles (80 cm) and the magic loop method.
Long mink wool (Cashmere) – 75% wool, 25% nylon: 50 grams – 350 m per skein. Note: Knit with 3 strands.
Weight Category – Quantity – 1 ball. If you have difficulty finding the aforementioned brand of yarn, use DK weight yarn. !!!!!Check your gauge before knitting!!!!!!.
Tapestry needle, scissors, stitch marker, waste yarn.

This pattern is written for the hand size 17-18 cm.
Gauge: 21-22 stitches = 4 inches in stockinette
Common abbreviations of knitting stitches:
K – knit
P – purl
Pm – place marker
K2tog – knit two together
yo: yarn over – Lay the working yarn over the right needle from front to back.
ryo: reverse yarn over – Lay the working yarn over the right needle from back to front.
skpo – Slip, Knit, Pass Over: Slip one stitch to the right needle knitwise, knit in the next stitch and drop this stitch off the left needle, insert the left needle into the slipped stitch, pass it over the knit stitch and it’s done.

Knitting left mitten:
Using smaller size knitting needles, cast on 32 sts. Join to knit in the round. I used the Bulgarian cast-on method, sometimes called the Estonian cast-on or the Latin cast-on. If you want to learn how to do it, check out the video tutorial.
Rounds 1-5: knit all stitches.
Switch to a larger size of knitting needles.
Rounds 6-25: knit all stitches. At this stage mitten measures 9 cm.
For both sizes, count 14 sts and place a stitch marker.
Round 26: k14, yo, k18.
Round 27: knit all stitches. Knit yo stitch through the back loop. (33 sts)
Round 28: k15, yo, k18.
Round 29: knit all stitches (34 sts).
Round 30: k16, yo, k18.
Round 31: knit all stitches (35 sts).
Round 32: k17, yo, k18.
Round 33: knit all stitches (36 sts).
Round 34: k18, yo, k18.
Round 35: knit all stitches (37 sts).
Round 36: k19, yo, k18.
Round 37: knit all stitches (38 sts).
Round 38: k20, yo, k18.
Round 39: knit all stitches (39 sts).
Round 40: k21, yo, k18.
Round 41: knit all stitches (40 sts).
Round 42: k22, yo, k18.
Round 43: knit all stitches (41 sts).
Add one more stitch if you are knitting larger-size mittens.
Round 44: K14, place the next 9 sts (10 for the larger size) on the scrap yarn, k18.
Round 45: knit all stitches. (32 sts)
Continue repeating Round 45 until the mitten covers the tip of your little finger. At this stage mitten measures 27 cm.
Shaping top of the mitten:
Round 1: [k1, k2tog, k10, skpo, k1] – repeat twice. (28 sts)
Round 2: knit all stitches.
Round 3: [k1, k2tog, k8, skpo, k1] – repeat twice. (24 sts)
Round 4: knit all stitches.
Round 5: [k1, k2tog, k6, skpo, k1] – repeat twice. (20 sts)
Round 6: [k1, k2tog, k4, skpo, k1] – repeat twice. (16 sts)
Round 7: [k1, k2tog, k2, skpo, k1] – repeat twice. (12 sts)
Round 8: [k1, k2tog, skpo, k1] – repeat twice. (8 sts)
Cut the yarn, leaving a 10 cm tail. Thread the tail through the remaining 8 stitches, pull it tight, and secure it on the inside.
Knitting gusset section:
Retrieve 9 stitches from the scrap yarn. Leave a tail before joining. Afterward, pick up five stitches (or four stitches for the larger size) around the gap by knitting into them. Knit every round until the thumb reaches the tip of your thumb.
Begin with decreasing rounds.
Round 1: [k1, k2tog, k1, skpo, k1] – twice.
Round 2: [k2tog, k1, skpo] – twice. (6 sts)
Cut the yarn, leaving a 10 cm tail. Thread the tail through the remaining 6 stitches, pull it tight, and secure it on the inside.
If a gap appears in the thumb gusset, use the tail to sew it up.
Knitting right mitten:
Continue repeating the same steps as for the left mitten until Round 25.
For both sizes, count 2 stitches and place stitch marker.
Round 26: k2, ryo, k30.
Round 27: knit all stitches. Knit ryo stitch through the front loop. (33 sts)
Round 28: k2, ryo, k31.
Round 29: knit all stitches. (34 sts)
Round 30: k2, ryo, k32.
Round 31: knit all stitches. (35 sts)
Round 32: k2, ryo, k33.
Round 33: knit all stitches. (36 sts)
Round 34: k2, ryo, k34.
Round 35: knit all stitches. (37 sts)
Round 36: k2, ryo, k35.
Round 37: knit all stitches. (38 sts)
Round 38: k2, ryo, k36.
Round 39: knit all stitches. (39 sts)
Round 40: k2, ryo, k37.
Round 41: knit all stitches. (40 sts)
Round 42: k2, ryo, k38.
Round 43: knit all stitches. (41 sts)
Round 44: K2, place the next 9 sts (10 for the larger size) on the scrap yarn, k30.
All subsequent rounds and the gusset section will be executed similarly for the right mitten.
