sel s – selvage stitch: always slip the first stitch knitwise, work to the last stitch, purl the last stitch
Tieback knit stitch instructions:
Cast on a multiple of 7 sts, plus 2 extra sts, plus 2 selvage stitches. Cast on 32 sts.
Row 1: sel s, *p2, k5 – repeat from *, p2, sel s.
Row 2: sel s, purl all stitches, sel s.
Row 3: sel s, *p2, k5 – repeat from *, p2, sel s.
Row 4: sel s, purl all stitches, sel s.
Row 5: sel s, *k2, p5 – repeat from *, k2, sel s.
Row 6: sel s, purl all stitches, sel s.
