Knitting materials and tools:

<> Circular Knitting Needles 3.5 mm (US4)

<> Caron, Simply Soft (4) – 100% acrylic.

<> Yarn needle and stitch markers.

Common abbreviations of knitting stitches:

k – knit

p – purl

st(s) – stitch(es)

k3tog – knit three together: slip the next two stitches as if to knit, k1, pass two slipped stitches over just knitted one.

sel s – selvage stitch: always slip the first stitch knitwise, work to the last stitch, purl the last stitch.

yo – yarn over

Knit flower size:

17-18 sts –10 cm (4 inches).

Flower diameter: 10 cm

Petals: 9

Each petal: 10 sts

9×10= 90 sts +1 extra stitch +2 selvage stitches = 93 sts

If you want your flower bigger:

Petals: 10

Each petal: 14 sts

10×14= 140 sts +1 extra stitch +2 selvage stitches = 143 sts

If you want your flower smaller:

Petals: 6

Each petal: 14 sts

6×14= 84 sts +1 extra stitch +2 selvage stitches = 87 sts

By adjusting the petal and stitch numbers, we can knit a bigger, smaller, or denser flower, providing options from airy and fluffy to more compact and structured blooms.

Round 10: sel s, [p1, k1, k3tog, k1] – repeat 9 times, p1, sel s. (39 sts)

Cut the yarn and, using a yarn needle, pull the tail through the remaining stitches to form the flower. You have two options: leave the flower’s center open or pull the tail tight to close the center. Choose the side of the flower you prefer and make a seam along the petals’ edge on the wrong side. Finally, weave in all ends.

Help!
When I switch to the smaller flower (87) sts, I am ok through to row 7 when I hit the decreases. I am confused with the repeats at this stage.
Can you help me out with your formula to use?

Hi, Have you started with Row 1: sel s, k7, p1, [k13,p1] k7, sel s. I need to understand what was in your Row 6 and did you stuck in row 7 or 8?
