Wendy, Peter Pan (four ply) – 100% acrylic, 206 meters per 50 grams ball. Color A – white, Color B – pink.
Weight Category – (superfine/ fingering). Quantity – 15-30 grams.

skpo – Slip, Knit, Pass Over: Slip one stitch to the right needle knitwise, knit in the next stitch and drop this stitch off the left needle, insert the left needle into the slipped stitch, pass it over the knit stitch and it’s done.

Knitting the Ruffle:
Color A.
Cast on 64/72/80 stitches. Join to knit in the round and PM.
Rounds 1-3: [k6, p2] – repeat around.
Round 4: [skpo, k2, k2tog, p2] – repeat around.
Round 5: [k4, p2] – repeat around.
Round 6: [skpo, k2tog, p2] – repeat around.
Round 7: [k2, p2] – repeat around. Cut the yarn.
Put the ruffle aside. If you have another pair of needles in the same size, you can use them. Otherwise, slip the stitches onto a stitch holder or a pair of needles in a different size.
Knitting the Ankle:
Color B.
Cast on 32/36/40 stitches.
Rounds 1-5: knit all stitches around
Round 6: Divide all the stitches in half, placing one half on each of two needles. Do the same with the ruffle.
Take the ruffle part. Place it behind the piece you just knitted, and place it behind the piece you just knitted, with the two pieces aligned. Now we are going to join the ruffle to the main piece by knitting one stitch from each piece together.
Using Color B as your working yarn, insert the needle into the first stitch on the front needle, then into the first stitch on the front needle holding the ruffle. Knit these two stitches together. Continue knitting around, working one stitch from each piece together to join the ruffle to the main piece.
Round 7(size 0-3 and 6-12): k16/k20, [k3, p1] – repeat 4/5 times (32 sts/40sts)
Round 7(size 3-6): k18, [k4, p2] – repeat 3 times. (36 sts)
Repeat Round 7 for your corresponding size:
0-3 months: 14 more rounds
3-6 months: 17 more rounds
6-12 months: 22 more rounds
Knitting the Heel:
Row 1: k15/17/19, p1. Turn. (16/18/20)
Row 2: slip k, p15/17/19. Turn.
Row 3: slip k, k14/16/18, p1. Turn.
Row 4: slip k, p15/17/19. Turn.
Repeat Rows 3–4 for your corresponding size:
0–3 months: 10 rows in total
3–6 months: 12 rows in total
6–12 months: 14 rows in total
These totals include Rows 1–4.
Divide the heel stitches into three sections as follows:
0–3 months: 5-6-5 stitches
3–6 months: 6-6-6 stitches
6–12 months: 7-6-7 stitches
Row 1: slip k, k9/10/11, skpo. Turn.
Row 2: slip p, p4, p2tog. Turn.
Row 3: slip k, k4, skpo. Turn.
Row 4: slip p, p4, p2tog. Turn.
Repeat Rows 3-4 until only 6 central stitches remain.
Knitting the Foot:
Round 1: slip k, k5, pick up 6/7/8 stitches along the one side of the heel
Note: The 6/7/8 stitches already include one extra stitch to prevent holes. Do not pick up any additional stitches. These extra stitches will be decreased later.
Pick up stitches through the small gaps between stitches rather than through the stitches themselves. Check the video tutorial if needed.
Size 0-3 and 6-12: [k3, p1] – repeat 4/5 times.
Size 3-6: [k4, p2] – repeat 3 times.
Pick up 6/7/8 stitches along the other side of the heel, k12/13/14.
Size 0-3 and 6-12: [k3, p1] – repeat 4/5 times.
Size 3-6: [k4, p2] – repeat 3 times.
Round 2: skpo, k14/16/18, k2tog,
Then continue according to your size:
0–3 months: [k3, p1] – repeat 4 times.
3–6 months: [k4, p2] – repeat 3 times.
6–12 months: [k3, p1] – repeat 5 times.
Round 3: k16/18/20,
Then continue according to your size:
0–3 months: [k3, p1] – repeat 4 times.
3–6 months: [k4, p2] – repeat 3 times.

Repeat Round 3 – 13/17/21 more times.
Shaping the Toe:
Round 1: [k1, skpo, k10/12/14, k2tog, k1] – repeat twice.
Round 2: [k1, skpo, k8/10/12, k2tog, k1] – repeat twice.
Continue decreasing in the same way, knitting 2 fewer stitches between skpo and k2tog in each round, until 12 stitches remain. In total 5/6/7 rounds.
Cut the yarn, leaving a 20-25 cm tail. Using a yarn needle, graft the toe stitches together. Check the video tutorial if needed.
