With days getting gloomier and windier, we start putting on more and more layers. Make yourself a shining star on the dark sky by knitting a warm cable cowl, and spicing it up with a gradient colour transition. Made in garter stitch, the cowl is simple to knit, even though it has a cable. Getting excited? Then have a detailed look at the cable cowl pattern and check the video to get more clarity. Still have questions? Then leave a note in the comment section and I’ll help you work it out. Happy knitting!

Repeat Rounds 10-25 as many times as needed, and stop 1 round before the cable twist.

If you are doing the same color change as I do, at one point cut 1 gray yarn and tie the purple one, knit 5-6 rounds and then cut the second gray yarn and tie the second purple one.

At this point we are going to get rid off of stitches in the cable part that we have added at the beginning.

Round before next cable twist: [k2tog] – 9 times, p till the end.

Round with cable twist: it depends on what kind of twist you are going to make now (right leaning or left leaning), as you have now 9 stitches instead of 18, slip only 3 stitches to the extra needle to make C3F or C3B

Finish cowl with same 6 rounds as at the beginning.

Bind off and weave in all ends.
