Life with a newborn baby is getting hectic at times and it’s fairly difficult to find time to eat, not to speak about knitting. Month after month I watch my daughter growing and exploring the world around her, and when she does it, I quickly grab my needles and try to catch up with all the projects I planned for this year. Today I want to share a pattern of the long knit fingerless gloves made in a mint ice color. Together with my last mint slouchy knit hat pattern they make a wonderful pair. Add a bit of makeup, Christmas decorations and professional camera, and I bet you get a bunch of cute pics for your Insta profile. Enjoy your time knitting and taking photo shoots 😉

Use 4 mm knitting needles. Put gusset stitches back on the 2 DP Needles. Knit all 10 stitches. Using one more DP needle pick up and knit at the same time 5 more stitches at the base of the thumb. Knit 5-6 rounds, at the last round make 1 decrease to have in total 14 stitches, then switch to the 3 mm knitting needles and rib k1, p1 for 3 more rounds. Bind off.
Right long knit fingerless glove

Can you give us a pattern for knitting the mitts flat?
Hi Cindy. Sorry I do not plan to do this pattern flat as I like more knitting in the round. I am planning only to knit flat a cable hat
I made this mitten and when I got to the thumb part I found it impossible to get it done. I had to rip out the whole thing. I am so disappointed. They are beautiful. I tried to do them on 9 inch circular needles. I have never knit on double pointed needles.
I will do video so you can check the video later
I finally worked it on double
Pointed needles but how can the right mitten be basically the same as left. The thumb needs to be on the other side. I look forward to hearing from you.
Please check if everything if it is clear what i wrote down
Hi, I made these mittens. I am on the right one and you didn’t switch the pattern for the thumb to be on other side. I am not sure what to do. I have reached the rows where you yor but you cannot knit without the hole the following row if you yarn over one way. Please help as I am halfway done with the second one.
I submitted a question and now I don’t see it there.
I left a comment days ago about reversing for the right mitten but I dont see it posted anymore.
Hi. I will check the description, I do not know what is unclear. I said that I will make a video as well but a bit later. thank you
You didn’t reverse the pattern for the right hand.
Hi again. You are going to knitting the thumb gusset in Round 49 that will look like this Round 49: p1, C6F, k6, p1, k5, yoR, k15. Round 50: p1, k18, p1, k21. Round 51: p1, C6F, k6, p1, k5, yoR, k16. Round 52: p1, k18, p1, k22. And so on. For the left hand you were doing yoL but for the right hat yoR. Let me know if it works
