sel s – selvage stitch: always slip the first stitch knitwise, work to the last stitch, purl the last stitch

Ribbed dash dot stitch knitting pattern:

Cast on a multiple of 4 sts, plus 2 selvage stitches.

Rows 1-4: sel s, [k1, p1] – repeat till the end, sel s.

Row 5: sel s, [k1, p2tog, yo, p1] – repeat till the end, sel s.

Row 6: sel s, [k1, p1] – repeat till the end, sel s. Purl yarn over the stitch through the front loop.

Row 7-10: sel s, [k1, p1] – repeat till the end, sel s.
