Coming to the final part of this pattern you have at least a couple of options to decorate your hat with a pom. The first one is to make a handmade pom from threads. The second one is to tie a real/faux fur pom pom.

I love your snowflake bulky knit pattern for a hat. I made the hat and it turned out terrific. It was my first time knitting a hat. I tried to make a matching scarf to go with it but it kept curling. Do you have a scarf pattern or any suggestions?

Hi. I suggest you knitting edges in garter stitch as i did for this cable headband https://crazyhands.net/super-bulky-cable-knit-headband/. It means that you can knit 5-6 stitches at the beginning and 5-6 sts at the ends. Knit the main pattern in the center. On the wrong side repeat the same, knit 5-6 sts at the beginning and at the end. It can be always more than 5-6 sts. Let me know if it worked
